Bezgove jagode / Elderberries

Na vrtu imamo velik in star bezgov grm.  Letos je napočil čas, da ga pomladimo in zato smo ga nekaj dni nazaj požagali ter naredili prostor za nove poganjke.  Stari velikan nam je podaril še polno košaro črnih jagod. Nekaj sem jih obesila pod strop, da se posušijo. Iz njih bom ob napadu gripe kuhala sirup. Iz preostanka pa sem skuhala marmelado. Recept sem našla v knjigi Narava ima vedno prav, le pa sem jaz dodala še malo cimeta.

Okus je zanimiv :o)

We have well had a big, old eldertree in our garden. It was time to make space for young shoots, since the branches threatened us to fall down during next big storm. The tree was full of elderberries.  I made elderberries jam yesterday evening from one third of berries, the others are drying above our computer corner. So, I'm sitting here and smelling the berries :o)

I'll be cooking tee with them and making elderberries syrup when flue strikes.
